The owners of Three Bears operate a luxury vacation home rental business in Hawaii. Drawing from their extensive experience managing luxury accommodations, they have invested generously to provide every possible amenity for guests. The intent was to create a warm, welcoming, and infinitely comfortable mountain vacation home.

This extraordinary vacation accommodation sets a new standard for comfort and convenience in a pristine and ideal mountain setting. Three Bears is the personal vision of its owners who operate a luxury vacation home rental business in Hawaii. A visit to Three Bears is a truly first-class bona-fide luxury accommodation full of thoughtful top-shelf amenities. Our standards of cleanliness are vastly superior to most vacation properties.

This exceptional residence has a view of the Kimberley ski hill, and also is immediately adjacent to Trickle Creek Golf Course, and it is within walking distance of the Kimberley Alpine Resort ski hill. Walk to the Old Bauernhaus Restaurant or into the charming Platzl of downtown Kimberley. The nordic ski track is just uphill and there is access into the Kimberley Nature Park from a trail leading past the Tall Pines development.

The owners pre-stock a wide array of useful guest supplies including several different types of whole coffee beans, ground coffees, coffee filters, tea, various sugars/honey/flour/herbs/spices, cleaning products & utensils, all paper products, laundry detergent, fabric softeners, dish detergent/liquid, soaps, body wash, and cute mini-bath toiletries.

Within the charming, friendly, and compact town of Kimberley are several work-out facilities, DVD rental, all types of gift stores, above average restaurants (for a small town), grocery stores selling orchard-fresh fruits and vegetables, several churches, sporting goods stores, quaint pubs and a coffee house, a brand-new community lap-length swimming pool with steam room, and the famous vintage miniature Kimberley train which chugs up and down the ski hill during summer months. There is a depot within walking distance from Three Bears.

In addition to the Trickle Creek Golf Course which is indescribably beautiful and fun to play (just outside your front door), the pine tree lined Kimberley City Course, or the riverside Bootleg Gap Courses are just minutes from Three Bears. In Cranbrook is the esteemed St. Eugene Mission Course, Cranbrook Golf Course and several others. Head up north and play at any one of dozens of other courses in the Radium/Invermere/Fairmont area. Kimberley is a golfer's heaven. All courses are blessed with aroma of fresh pine trees and majestic rivers running by them or they feature panoramic mountain views.

During the golden sunny days of summer, head out from your backyard on foot to hike the Kimberley Nature Park, Lois Creek Trails, or to road ride or downhill bike the ski hill. It is also possible to drive only a very short distance in order to enjoy water skiing, boat rentals, kayaking, canoeing, river rafting, tent camping, rock climbing, gold panning, horseback riding, swimming at sandy beaches in Columbia Valley lakes or in pristine emerald colored alpine lakes. Additional activity ideas nearby may include hiking verdant forests, mountain biking, and fishing. The resident Kimberley deer lend a distinctly wild flavor to the surroundings.

Winter brings a further array of fresh-air sports options, including the option to night ski on lighted nordic tracks or cross-country ski through thousands of hectares of wooded heaven in the Kimberley Nature Park, skiing or snowboarding down the graceful runs and broad glades of the uncrowded Kimberley Alpine Resort, ice skating, dog sledding, sleigh rides, snow-shoe adventures, heli-skiing, and snowmobiling.

A town that offers breath taking scenery and clean mountain air, Kimberley dates back to the summer of 1891 when Galena was discovered at the North Star Mine. Located between two great mountain ranges, the Purcells to the West and the majestic Rockies to the East, there are vast forests and designated wilderness areas that shelter rare songbirds and spectacular wild animals.

Kimberley is the sunniest city in British Columbia. Summer temperatures can reach over 30 degrees celcius with cool comfortable evenings. In the winter, many days of powder skiing may be highlighted with golden sunshine.

Kimberley Alpine Resort reaches a total elevation of 6,500 feet into the deep blue sky. Cascade down a fall line of more than 2,400 feet while covering as much as 1,800 skiable acres of legendary Canadian powder snow. In total there are three chair lifts and a T-bar providing access to 57 runs and glades, 26 kilometers of nordic trails, a snowboarding terrain park and half-pipe. Kimberley is renowned for its long, gentle fall-line runs that are typically carpeted with plenty of dry, fluffy Purcell powder. The frontside is famous for its miles and miles of gentle, meticulously groomed trails. Families also love Kimberley's on-hill accommodation facilities and restaurants. Riders enjoy a leisurely lunch only a snowballs throw away from the lifts while taking in the panoramic view of Kimberley's front side slopes.

The owner has skiied every major resort in the Canadian and US West including Vail, Whistler, Alta, Snowbird, Targhee and other challenging hills, and built this vacation house in Kimberley because it was their personal favorite. There's nothing like skiing with no liftlines and lots of room to roam on a broad treed hill with spectacular scenery and the driest snow imaginable.

Kimberley is a wild life lover's dream. Youi may see moose, black bears, grizzly bears, mountain goats, big horn sheep, tens of thousands of deer, elk, coyote, skunks and eagles. The broad marshes of the Columbia valley and several wildlife reserves offer birders great opportunities.

After a fulfilling day of outdoor play, stop at a natural outdoor hot springs in a nearby park, or head home for an in-villa massage, take-out restaurant meal or grocery delivery, a soak in your own personal hot tub spa, and an evening of jovial conversation under the stars while warming your toes over the wood burning campfire pit.

History buffs will love exploring the remnants of 19th century gold mining camps including the site of the legendary Fisherville on Wild Horse Creek or the original Fort Steele Heritage Town which offers theater nights, wagon rides, and holiday theme dining.

Other pleasant diversions include the St. Eugene Mission, located just 20 minutes from Kimberley, a beautiful new casino in a scenic valley, pampering yourself in local spas and salons, or strolling through the Cominco gardens in spring and summer.

The most convenient airport is the newly expanded Cranbrook Airport, just 15 minutes away. Rental cars, taxi, or shuttle services are readily available. Cranbrook/Kimberley Airport is reached by direct flight from Calgary or Vancouver. We enjoy the drive from Spokane or Kalispell, 3-4 hours of scenic touring along historic routes to 19th century gold mines. Flights from Seattle to Spokane are sometimes as low as $39 each way. We will assist our guests in planning their travel to Kimberley, along with offering suggestions for recreation, sports, and sightseeing while staying at Three Bears at Tall Pines.
