Umbria

Umbria is famous for historical hill towns and beautiful countryside. Its sizeable cypress forests in addition to pine and chestnut trees distingish the lush countryside. In addition, Umbria is easy to reach from the big tourism hubs of central Italy and yet relatively uncrowded even at the height of the tourism season.

The towns of Umbria are relatively small and yet they are the home of world-class museums, fine dining and of course the remains of Roman and Etruscan times are scattered everywhere. Come visit the university city of Perugia, St. Francis' birthplace of Assisi, Lake Trasimeno, or have a glass of wine in Orvieto. Umbria is a special place.
